The Director, US Oncology Internal Communications and Above Brand Campaigns will play a central role in helping employees understand, connect with and deliver against the US Oncology strategy. As part of the US Oncology Corporate Affairs team, this person will lead internal communications across the organization and support select above-brand campaigns that strengthen AstraZeneca Oncology’s reputation and impact in the US.

This role is ideal for a thoughtful communicator and strong project leader who can turn complex business, scientific and organizational information into clear, engaging stories. You will advise leaders, shape communications plans, manage high-visibility internal moments and help bring signature oncology campaigns to life through partnerships, events, social content, earned media and agency collaboration.

What You'll Do

  • Develop integrated communications plans that drive employee engagement, support business objectives and align with US Oncology and AstraZeneca priorities.

  • Counsel senior leaders on messaging, sequencing, tone, style and channel strategy, particularly during moments of change or high visibility.

  • Lead and execute organizational announcements and internal change management counsel

  • Lead the planning and delivery of senior leadership forums and strategic business meetings, partnering closely with the SVP of US Oncology to shape agendas, develop executive communications, align leadership teams, and drive key business priorities.

  • Plan and deliver internal flagship programs and channels, including webinars, leadership updates, Nucleus articles, Workplace content, short-form video and other digital storytelling formats.

  • Lead the US Oncology internal editorial calendar, ensuring communications are timely, coordinated, audience-focused and connected to business priorities.

  • Translate complex scientific, medical, commercial and organizational information into clear and compelling content for internal audiences.

  • Use employee insights, engagement trends and business context to identify communications opportunities, risks and areas for improvement.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical, HR, Legal, Compliance and other teams to ensure aligned planning and execution.

  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of above-brand communications and reputation programs, including partnerships, consumer engagement, events, earned media, social and digital content, and other high-impact initiatives.

  • Lead key partnership initiatives focused on community engagement, building strategic collaborations that strengthen corporate reputation, deepen stakeholder relationships, and advance business priorities.

  • Manage agency and vendor partners to deliver communications materials, campaign assets, events and program milestones with quality and efficiency.

  • Measure communications performance and use data, feedback and insights to strengthen content, channels and overall impact.

Essential for the role

  • Strong understanding of digital, social and employee engagement channels, including how to tailor content by platform and audience.

  • Experience using data and analytics to evaluate communications, improve engagement and demonstrate impact.

  • Ability to understand scientific and medical information, or demonstrated ability to learn complex subject matter quickly.

  • High personal accountability, sound judgment, strong collaboration skills, and attention to detail.

  • Experience producing short-form video, digital storytelling or social content for internal or external audiences.
