Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating our trucks to transport goods to various destinations within South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company trucks to transport goods to designated locations
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition
• Load and unload goods from the truck using proper equipment and techniques
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery of goods
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
• Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road

Requirements:

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck driver
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Good knowledge of South Africa's road network and traffic laws
• Ability to operate and maintain a truck in a safe and efficient manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service
