Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages staff and employee performance.
- Resolves Human resource-related issues, determines staffing needs, interviews and hires staff.
- Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies and documents competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
- Determines disciplinary, termination and salary actions.
- Monitors workflow. Develops short and long term goals and objectives; analyzes strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and constraints to give direction to hospitals' leadership in working toward meeting facilities and operational objectives.
- Establishes and administers policies, procedures, and related forms in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines; reviews, revises, and communicates them to ensure compliance.
- Identifies, implements, and determines the scope of projects in consultation with senior administration.
- Monitors status of projects, adjusts schedules and priorities when necessary.
- ssigns project areas and manages short and long term projects.
- Plans, administers and monitors the department's capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets; regularly reviews year to date and prior budget expenditures; and takes corrective action as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering or related field and seven years experience in engineering environment with supervisory experience, or ten years experience without a degree. Experience in a healthcare environment is highly preferred. Registered Professional Engineer (Georgia) preferred. May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
