What You’ll Be Doing

You will play a key role in supporting the Application Reliability Engineering – Governance & Controls function, with primary accountability for governance oversight, risk management, deviation tracking, control activities, and governance reporting within a managed services environment. You will help ensure processes, requests, and supplier activities are executed in accordance with established guidelines, controls, service levels, contractual obligations, and governance standards.

As a Technical Consultant (Governance & Controls), you will monitor and manage risks, deviations, and control-related issues, identify gaps or variances, and recommend or escalate appropriate actions to management as required. You will support the preparation, coordination, and delivery of governance and control reporting, providing insight into compliance, performance, and operational trends to support effective oversight and decision-making.

In addition, you will coordinate the end-to-end Moves, Adds, Changes and Deletions (MACD) request management process under a managed service contract. This includes reviewing each request for quality, completeness, accuracy, and technical validity, and addressing discrepancies or omissions with the appropriate stakeholders. You will assess scope of work against supplier pricing to determine reasonability, identify variances, and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues in alignment with contractual and operational requirements. You will also support the design, coordination, execution, and verification of MACD activities while contributing to broader Governance & Controls priorities across the team.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-2 day per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
