Adviser: Virtual Short-Term Insurance

A leading organisation is seeking an Adviser: Virtual Short-Term Insurance to provide solution-focused advice across Commercial and Personal Lines. The successful candidate will work within a virtual and hybrid advice model, helping clients understand and manage their short-term insurance risks while building a sustainable portfolio and achieving sales and growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional advice and tailored solutions for clients’ short-term insurance needs across Commercial and Personal Lines.
• Build, service and retain a sustainable client portfolio through regular engagement and portfolio reviews.
• Identify client needs, assess risks and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
• Achieve agreed sales, growth and client service targets within a virtual and hybrid advisory environment.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, bankers, insurers, advisers and other key stakeholders.
• Deliver a high standard of ongoing customer service and respond effectively to client requests.
• Apply sound practice management principles while ensuring all advice and intermediary services remain compliant with FAIS and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all required compliance, training and professional development requirements.

Requirements:

• NQF Level 5 qualification in Short-Term Insurance.
• RE5 with Class of Business training up to date.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Commercial Insurance sales.
• Must meet applicable FAIS Fit and Proper requirements for advice and intermediary services.
• Relevant FSCA-approved qualification.
• Product-specific training to be completed as required.
• Commitment to Continuous Professional Development requirements.
• Demonstrated honesty, integrity and good standing.
• Strong sales, relationship management and client advisory skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a solution-orientated approach.
• Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle.
