Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Emergency Preparedness in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government school location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
