Description
Our client operates at the intersection of corporate, fiduciary and regulatory services, partnering with private equity houses, investment managers and international financial institutions. Backed by long-term institutional investment and an established global brand, the firm is scaling its capabilities, technology and international footprint.
Our client is seeking an Assistant Accountant with experience in financial services to join our rapidly expanding accounting team. This role is based in Krakow but reporting to a Dublin based accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of the trial balance for a portfolio of Irish, Jersey & Cayman incorporated CLO SPVs, in line with transactional and statutory deadlines.
- Completion of routine monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of CLO SPVs.
- Preparation and filing of quarterly regulatory returns to the Central Bank of Ireland on a timely basis.
- Train and mentor less experienced members of the team on elements of the above workload.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a finance related discipline, or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).
- Able to demonstrate circa 2 years' experience in a financial reporting or fund administration role, gained within the financial services industry.
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of basic accounting debits & credits, with experience at posting entries to an accounting general ledger.
- Advanced Excel skills including vlookup/xlookup and sumifs
