Where the team fits in

The Corporate Strategy team at REA Group is pivotal in driving the development and evolution of our company-wide strategy.

Tasked with delivering double-digit profitable growth, the team acts as a 'true trusted advisor' to the Executive Leadership Team and REA Group Board. The team reports to the Chief Strategy Officer who reports to the CEO. We play a crucial role in influencing strategic decisions, ensuring our work impacts our consumers, customers and business operations materially.

What the role is all about

The Senior Strategy Analyst is part of REA Group’s Corporate Strategy team. The role works across the Corporate Strategy, Executive and broader leadership teams to contribute to enterprise-wide priorities through assigned strategic workstreams.

You will report to the Head of Strategy and operate flexibly across projects, partnering with Strategy Managers, senior leaders and stakeholders according to business priorities. You will take ownership of discrete workstreams, lead defined pieces of strategic work and contribute meaningfully to the development and delivery of REA Group’s corporate, business unit and product strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop rigorous, fact-based analysis to inform strategic choices, including financial modelling, market sizing and attractiveness assessments, competitor and market analysis, scenario analysis and evaluation of strategic options
  • Translate complex and sometimes ambiguous information into clear insights, implications and recommendations for senior decision-makers
  • Own the analysis and development of high-quality executive-ready materials for assigned workstreams, ensuring analytical integrity and tailoring the communication to the audience
  • Generate differentiated market, competitor and investment insights through targeted research and competitive intelligence. Assess the reliability and relevance of available information, challenge assumptions and synthesis findings into implications for REA Group’s strategy and performance
  • Support strategy delivery across assigned priorities by maintaining appropriate measures, dashboards, OKRs, reporting and governance, and identifying emerging issues for escalation
  • Contribute to the evolution of REA Group’s Corporate Strategy and the development of Business Unit and Product strategies
  • Contribute to the preparation of major strategic forums, including Board Strategy Day and Investor and Analyst briefings, owning discrete analysis, insights and narrative sections within the broader story
  • Build effective relationships across the organisation and influence stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority

Who we’re looking for

  • Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills, that lands with senior audiences
  • Organised and structured project management skills
  • Hypothesis-based problem solving and strong strategic thinking; demonstrated ability to manage defined strategic workstreams
  • Commercial acumen with experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modelling, competitor reviews, market assessment and market sizing
  • Exposure to corporate development including strategic rationale and revenue/cost synergy opportunities
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to craft executive-level presentations 
  • Can-do attitude, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with AI tools to accelerate analysis and communication
  • Enjoys building lasting relationships across the business
