PURPOSE: An Outreach Coordinator in a street-based, community support role is the primary link between an organization and the people it serves. This position involves meeting individuals directly in public spaces, coordinating the distribution of essential resources, engaging with community partners, and building trust using grassroots collaboration.

OUTREACH COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
Job Responsibilities:
- Direct Community Engagement: Meet people on the street or in public areas to identify needs, provide information about programs, and connect individuals with available services
- Resource Coordination: Organize and distribute supplies, food, clothing, or other essentials to those in need, ensuring timely and respectful delivery.
- Community Partner Outreach: Contact and recruit local community partners, businesses, and community leaders to support programs, events, and resource distribution.
- Event & Program Planning: Plan and execute outreach events, workshops, and information sessions to raise awareness enhance local resilience.
- Materials & Communication: Create and distribute flyers, brochures, and digital content; share social media and website content with marketing to promote services.
- Volunteer Support: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers alongside the volunteer team to assist with outreach activities
- Data & Reporting: Track outreach activities, collect feedback, and prepare reports to measure impact and guide future strategies.
- Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to foster trust and collaboration.
- Manage Donations across Salt Lake City site locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills & Qualifications:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to explain programs and services clearly.
- Empathy & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to connect with diverse populations, including those facing language or cultural barriers.
- Organization & Project Management: Strong planning and execution skills for multiple outreach initiatives.
- Public Relations: Experience in fundraising, community engagement.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and in varied public settings.
Work Environment:
- On-the-ground presence in public spaces, community centers, or event venues.
- Frequent interaction with diverse populations, including vulnerable or underserved groups.
- Collaboration with internal teams, volunteers, and external community partners.

COMPENSATION
Salary: $50,000 - $52,000/Annually
