Maintenance Planner Scheduler Supervisor

We are now seeking a Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Supervisor overseeing the day-to-day activities and performance of the SSC Planning and Scheduling Team.

This role provides leadership and direction to a team of planners and schedulers, ensuring the effective planning and scheduling of all Operations and Maintenance work orders. It will also see you responsible for maintaining and continuously improving planning and scheduling processes, procedures, and systems to support operational efficiency and service delivery.

Responsibilities Include:

• Analyse performance metrics and operational data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and process efficiencies, providing informed recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of current planning and scheduling practices.

• Provide leadership, direction and support to the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling team. Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of planners and schedulers

• Oversee the planning and scheduling of preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance activities. Ensure maintenance work orders are appropriately scoped, planned, resourced and scheduled to support safe and efficient execution.

• Ensure work orders contain the appropriate level of detail, including labour requirements, materials, equipment, access requirements, permits and estimated durations.

• Maintain and continuously improve maintenance planning and scheduling processes, procedures, standards and work practices.

• Monitor and report on key planning and scheduling performance indicators and team performance.

• Analyse maintenance metrics and trends to identify inefficiencies, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve maintenance planning, scheduling and execution processes.

• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving asset availability, maintenance efficiency and workforce productivity.

• Develop effective working relationships with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement and other key stakeholders.

• Facilitate regular planning and scheduling meetings

About You

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within an industrial, facilities, infrastructure, utilities, defense, aviation, manufacturing, or similar environment.

• 1-2 years in a Leadership role (desirable)

• Experience using (CMMS), such as SAP PM, Pronto, Maximo, or similar.

• Relevant trade qualification or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering, Maintenance, or a related discipline.

• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or Project Management Practice (or willing to obtain)

• Attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency

• Willingness to complete Medical, Drug and Alcohol, Background Checks and Police Clearance as part of the recruitment process
