Front of House Manager

This position will be responsible for managing the restaurant’s bar program, with an emphasis on maintaining our bar program standards, executing our drinks and bar service expectations, and managing bar operations and employees including hiring, training and scheduling.

• The Front of House Manager assists the General Manager in overseeing restaurant operations. 
• The Front of House Manager oversees the training and development of staff while maintaining an inclusive work environment. 
• The Front of House Manager achieves stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. 
• The Front of House Manager may have a specific focus on managing the beverage program, managing employees, and/or restaurant event planning.

Required skills and qualifications to be a Front of House Manager with Alta Via Pizzeria:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Able to pass a background screening
• 1 year of restaurant management experience
• An above-average knowledge of beer, spirits, and wine
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others

Physical requirements for Front of House Manager with Alta Via Pizzeria:

• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
• Able to reach, bend, stoop, and  lift up to 50 pounds
