8486 ISS Innovation and DeliveryThe Director of Innovation and Delivery leads the ISS Project Management Office and serves as the operational lead for artificial intelligence tool evaluation, vendor assessment, and safe use research across Kaweah Health. This role is responsible for the disciplined execution of the ISS project portfolio and for supporting the organization's AI Governance Committee and AI Strategy Committee with evaluation, documentation, and adoption tracking. This position executes AI related initiatives under the direction of the VP of Digital and Information Systems.QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred: MBA or PMP certification
Experience
Required: Three or more years of project management experience, including team leadership.
Preferred:
Project management experience in healthcare IT.
Experience supporting governance committees or formal review bodies.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a complex organizational environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics for executive and clinical audiences.
Exposure to AI or machine learning tools, vendor evaluation, or emerging technology assessment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Project Delivery
Own project intake, prioritization, and portfolio reporting across all ISS functional areas.
Manage, coach, and develop project managers, coordinators, and analysts.
Establish and maintain project management methodology, templates, status reporting, and governance cadence.
Own resource allocation and capacity planning across concurrent active projects.
Partner with the Directors of Applications, Technical Services, Clinical Informatics, and Clinical Engineering to align project delivery with department priorities.
Report portfolio health, risks, and delivery metrics to the VP of Digital and Information Systems on a regular cadence.
AI Enablement
Conduct ongoing research on emerging AI tools and use cases relevant to healthcare operations.
Lead vendor evaluation for proposed AI tools, including intake form review and initial risk and compliance screening.
Support the AI Governance Committee with documentation, meeting preparation, and tracking of approved, pending, and declined initiatives.
Coordinate and manage AI pilot rollouts and adoption tracking, including ongoing dashboard reporting on clinical and operational AI tool usage.
Escalate governance, compliance, security, or clinical safety questions to the AI Governance Committee rather than deciding unilaterally.
Maintain a working inventory of AI tools in use or under evaluation across the organization.
Pay Range
