Overview
JOB SUMMARY
Supervises the daily operations of all Urgent Care locations, including limited x-ray tech at the Ontario location. Under the supervision, direction, and guidance of the licensed physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or RN, the Urgent Care Supervisor assists in providing care provided in the Urgent Care. Supports the Urgent Care Manager in the oversight of the urgent care staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Medical Assistant or higher clinical license required. Experience: At least one year’s experience in a supervisory capacity in an urgent care, medical practice, clinic, hospital nursing unit, or similar healthcare setting. Experience gained through a college internship program or structured management training program may be considered if obtained in a hospital department or nursing unit, or at an urgent care, medical practice, community clinic, or occupational medicine program.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and skills related to clinical care performed by medical assistants including vital signs, point of care testing, treatments, and other clinical duties directed by medical providers. Proficient with various computer applications including registration/scheduling software, EMR systems, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and labor management software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate with medical providers to improve quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. If non-clinical, knowledge of medical terminology is required.
License/Certifications: Current Healthcare Provider BLS card. Current clinical license, if applicable.
Equipment: Use of computer and other general office equipment.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$25.20 - $37.80
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
