Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Milan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading manufacturing location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate with employees and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document the movement of authorized personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and maintain accurate incident and patrol records.

Minimum Requirements:

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
