Job Summary
Ferrousouth is seeking a safe, dependable CDL Driver to support our nighttime shipping operations. This position is primarily responsible for pre-loading outbound shipments for daytime drivers, ensuring all assigned loads are properly secured, tarped (when required), and ready for dispatch each morning.
Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on Experience and On-site Interview)

- Pre-load outbound trucks and trailers according to the nightly loading schedule.
- Ensure all assigned loads are completed and ready for departure by the start of the day shift.
- Properly secure and tarp loads in accordance with company, customer, and DOT requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any equipment defects.
- Move trucks and trailers within the yard as needed to support loading operations.
- Transport trucks, trailers, and other equipment to and from maintenance vendors in the Tupelo, MS area.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and operating procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations personnel, and maintenance providers.
- Perform other transportation and yard-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT qualification requirements.
- Experience with flatbed operations, load securement, and tarping preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to climb, bend, lift, and perform physical work associated with load securement and tarping.
