Description
This is a working leadership position as an assembly technician in a manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining stock levels in order to ship a quality product as required by the Production Schedule.
Qualifications:
- The lead assembly technician will be required to assemble units as laid out in design drawings and instructed by production supervisors and group leaders.
- Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable with the use of hand tools, machines and other equipment.
- The applicant must be detail oriented and have organization and time management skills.
- Excellent judgement, decision-making and leadership capabilities are required.
- Knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain material supply and inform supervisor of needed supplies or equipment.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Good communications skills relative to supervisors and other related departments.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 pounds; push, pull and work with similarly weighted items.
- Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, and overhead.
- Ability to climb and work from scaffolding or a step ladder.
- Minimal computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) the English language clearly.
