Description
Business Development Manager – Systems Integration
- Drive new business growth for custom automation, robotics, and systems integration solutions across established U.S. and Mexico territories, with a focus on expanding key strategic accounts.
- Develop and manage relationships with OEMs and manufacturers in automotive, industrial, data/ICT, aerospace, and life sciences, selling complex automation projects ranging from $100K-$5M+.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including prospecting, account development, solution selling, proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure while partnering closely with engineering teams.
- Leverage an existing network of manufacturing and automation customers to generate new opportunities, grow long-term partnerships, and consistently achieve $5M-$10M+ in annual sales.
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineering teams to develop customized automation, robotic, and machine-building solutions that deliver measurable operational improvements for customers.
- Identify new market opportunities, monitor competitive activity, and represent the company at customer visits, industry events, and trade shows throughout the region (travel under 50%).
- Qualifications: 5+ years of business development or technical sales experience in automation, robotics, systems integration, or custom machine building. Existing customer relationships within manufacturing are strongly preferred. Engineering background or strong technical aptitude is highly desirable. Proven success selling complex capital equipment or integration projects, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with CRM tools.
