Role Summary

The Communications Agent is responsible for organizing, planning and executing a safe on time operation which requires coordinating between multiple departments. 

Key Duties

  • Create and maintain a strong culture of safety.
  • Monitor all flights in progress for possible delays, weather, flight cancellations, and communicate accordingly.
  • Input arrival and departure information and code delays into a data entry system. 
  • Monitor the station’s ground to ground radio system, and effectively communicate information. 
  • Monitor the air to ground radio system with inbound and outbound flight crews on special services needed.
  • Plan for and coordinate aircraft tows, deicing priorities, and act as the liaison between other departments and station operations.

Required 

  • Strong diplomacy, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide quality internal customer service.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.  
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance. 
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. 

Preferred 

  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.

Starting Rate

USD $21.10/Hr.

Airport SIDA Badge Requirements

Important notification for employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.
