As we continue to invest in our Iowa facilities, we are also expanding our footprint with new locations, including a new plant in Blair, Nebraska. To support this long-term growth, we are now recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor for the Blair facility.
Position summary & purpose.
Coordinates and participates in the safe execution of preventive and predictive maintenance plans and associated repairs. Supports, as needed, repairs due to unplanned plant breakdowns. Overall efforts should result in continuous improvement of plant uptime and efficiency. The main duties include using CMMS for editing predictive and preventive maintenance schedules and procedures, ensuring PM work is performed on a timely basis, and verifying that the quality of work performed is at or above company standards.

Responsibilities and Tasks
· Comply with all health and safety practices and procedures.
· Communicate effectively and consistently to a diverse team with varied levels of knowledge and experience. This will include plant management and plant personnel at times.
· Participate in planning of and coordinating with maintenance techs to execute plant equipment preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.
· Participate in planning of and coordinating with contractors to ensure that weekend “plant off” preventative maintenance and repairs are completed as desired and scheduled. Ensure contractors have all repair instructions, PM documentation and parts to properly execute work.
· Audit the work done by maintenance techs and contractors.
· Provide specific and timely instructions and training for maintenance techs and operators as required.
· Perform high tech predictive maintenance utilizing tools such as the thermographic camera and ultrasonic tester.
· Support the team by participating in preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs as needed (hands on support).
· Clean and organize work areas after PMs and repairs are completed. Support operations team in keeping an overall clean and organized plant.
· Review each repair report to ensure information is accurate including root causes and parts usage.
· Responsible for the maintenance of all mobile equipment
Education and Experience:
· High school degree or equivalent required
· 2-year degree is desirable, but not required
· 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance
· Experience in aggregates processing is ideal.
· Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
· Familiarity with blueprints, schematics and properly written preventative and corrective maintenance routines
· Ability to build trust and respect without relying on authority.
· Proven track record of effective communication
· Proficient with MS Word and Excel
