Field Representative, Contract Surety

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Field Representative – Contract Surety to join a team. This is a full-time remote field sales position, requiring candidates to reside within their assigned territory, which includes Upstate NY, PA, Long Island, NJ, Westchester, and MD/DE. The role involves calling on an established prospect database, scheduling in-person appointments, presenting contract surety programs, evaluating financial strength, and securing new business. Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship will be provided to ensure your success.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $45,000 annually.
• Performance Incentive Plan: Uncapped earning potential that rewards results. First-year average earnings exceed $120,000+.
• Paid Training: Comprehensive training provided at our corporate headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, along with ongoing coaching and field support.

Responsibilities

• Call on a database of pre-qualified leads to set appointments.
• Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with qualified contractors.
• Present contract surety programs and services to prospective clients.
• Review contractor financial information to determine eligibility for bonding programs.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory using your personal vehicle.
• Attend training sessions and meetings at the corporate office as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of field sales experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to succeed.
• Proven consultative and relationship-based selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Professional and energetic telephone presence.
• Confident presentation and closing skills.
• Hunter sales mentality with a proactive approach to business development.
• Familiarity with the construction industry and basic accounting principles is a plus.
