Role Summary:

The AI Business Consulting (ABC) team's mission is to ensure that the AI & Data organization delivers not only AI products, but tangible and measurable business value. ABC sits at the intersection of AI & Data and the business, connecting AI capabilities with business needs and outcomes.

Our activities have two main dimensions. First, we work alongside business stakeholders and Data Scientists throughout AI projects, defining relevant KPIs, translating business requirements, and driving adoption and change management to maximize value after deployment. Second, we lead company-wide transformation initiatives to democratize AI, empowering business units to leverage AI and deliver business value more independently.

 

As a Director in the ABC team, your role will have two primary mandates:

1-Maximize business value from AI initiatives by connecting business problems, AI solutions, adoption and measurable outcomes.

2-Accelerate AI delivery and scale ABC's impact by designing and implementing improved operating models for how the business and AI organization identify, prioritize and execute AI opportunities.

 

 

Job Description:

 

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Shape and prioritize the AI portfolio to ensure resources and investment are directed toward the highest-value opportunities.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements for AI engineering teams.
• Analyze adoption, usage and business-impact data and identify opportunities to increase value realization.
• Partner with business owners to drive adoption and embed AI solutions into business processes.
• Accelerate AI project delivery and scale ABC team impact by establishing improved operating models, governance and ways of working.

 

Skills & Experience (Must Have):

 

• Strong business consulting / product / transformation experience
• Experience translating complex business problems into requirements for technical teams
• Experience driving digital product adoption and business change
• Strong analytical capability, including KPI definition and data-driven decision making
• Track record of designing and implementing new operating models or ways of working at department/company scale
• Strong structured problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills
• Strong practical understanding of Generative AI and its business applications
• Business proficiency in Japanese and English

Skills & Experience (Nice to Have):

 

• Experience in AI / digital transformation
• AI product management or product-owner experience
• Technical understanding of GenAI, ML, APIs, data and AI architecture
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio or enterprise AI agents
• Power BI / SQL / advanced analytics experience
• Management consulting background
• Financial services / insurance experience

 

Internal Guidelines about Work from Home:

Hybrid Model, following Manulife’s Working Better guidelines.

 

Over time:

0-40 hours/month.

 

Salary:

Based on our Work Rules, we will consider your experience, skills and knowledge when we decide the salary.

Commutation allowance and Variable Incentive Bonus are paid based on our Work Rules.

 

Working Hours:

Standard Working Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm  (Include 1 hour break. Flex-time system available)
