Prep Team Member

As a Prep Team Member, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, assembling menu items, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, stocking inventory, and assisting with catering orders to ensure our team delivers high-quality food to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assemble a variety of food items, including salads, wraps, fruit cups, and other cold prep items
• Wash, chop, and pre-portion fresh produce for daily use
• Stock kitchen inventory, rotate products to ensure freshness, and properly label and store prepped items
• Follow all food safety standards, ensuring proper temperatures and holding times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
• Assist with building and packaging bulk catering orders
• Manage time effectively, work independently when needed, and contribute positively in a team environment

Requirements:

• Highly self-directed with strong time management, attention to detail, ability to follow recipes and instructions, and enthusiasm for teamwork
• Physical ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced kitchen, including standing for shifts ranging from 3 to 8 hours, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort with working in hot and cold environments, both inside the kitchen and in storage areas.
• Ability to handle knives, sharp objects, and operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Prior experience is not required; however, a Utah Food Handlers Card, ServSafe Certification, or previous kitchen/food handling experience is preferred.
