We are currently seeking dependable and motivated Team Members for two of our Chick-fil-A locations: Pharr and La Plaza & South 10th Street.
As a Prep Team Member at Chick-fil-A, you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen operates efficiently and food is prepared with the highest quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for prepping ingredients, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the prep area, and supporting the kitchen team to meet daily demand. The Prep Team Member role is more than just a job; it's an opportunity. In addition to working directly for an independent Owner/Operator, Prep Team Members gain life experience that goes far beyond serving a great product in a friendly environment. They are responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for everyone they serve each day and for ensuring all guests receive signature Chick-fil-A service and food.

Prep Team Member Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients (fruits, vegetables, salads, etc.) according to Chick-fil-A standards and recipes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage and labeling
- Maintain a clean and organized prep station and walk-in cooler
- Support the kitchen team by replenishing supplies and ensuring ingredients are readily available
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively (e.g., slicers, mixers)
- Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of shortages or issues
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Uphold Chick-fil-A’s core values of excellence, hospitality, and teamwork at all times
- Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards
- Stock kitchen inventory as needed
- Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
- Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A
- Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
- Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned
- Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
- Other duties as assigned
