Job Description
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a proactive, exceptionally organized HR Recruiting Specialist to join our Recruiting and Compensation team. Reporting to the Director of Recruiting and Compensation, this position plays a vital role in supporting faculty hiring and providing administrative and operational assistance for staff and senior-level searches.
This is a recruitment operations and hiring support role rather than a traditional full-cycle recruiter position. You will work closely with the Director to keep faculty hiring communications, processes and details on track, helping academic partners and candidates navigate an organized, professional experience. Success requires excellent judgment, strong follow-through and the confidence to independently manage the details while knowing when to seek guidance.
What You’ll Do
-Support faculty hiring processes by coordinating requisition activities, search documentation, committee schedules, interviews, campus visits and hiring-related approvals.
-Assist the Director with faculty recruitment communications, correspondence, follow-up items, meeting materials and process coordination across academic departments.
-Monitor search progress, anticipate upcoming steps, identify missing information and proactively resolve routine administrative or procedural issues.
-Provide administrative support for staff and senior-level searches, including scheduling, itineraries, candidate communication and accurate recordkeeping.
-Maintain timely and accurate information in Workday and other systems; organize files, track milestones and support compliance with university procedures.
-Help improve templates, workflows and communication practices to make hiring more efficient and consistent.
-Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and escalate matters requiring leadership or policy decisions.
