## What you’ll do:
The Logistics Scheduler is responsible for transportation planning, coordinating, and optimizing delivery schedules to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role involves collaborating with carriers, suppliers, warehouse teams, and customers to streamline logistics operations while minimizing costs and maximizing service levels. This position requires to work on 6pm to 3am IST shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope & Responsibilities: Manage shipment transactions. Support Logistics Planner in managing specific network logistics spend, by effectively implementing key working processes and functional KPIs including but not limited to OTD, cost out, and program compliance, etc. Support logistics performance dashboard.
- Transformation Scheduling & coordinating: Develop and maintain daily/weekly/monthly shipment schedules. Assign carriers, routes, and delivery time slots based on capacity, cost, and service requirements. Monitor real-time transportation updates and adjust schedules as needed.
- Capacity Management: Support Logistics Planner to identify and address major over-/under-capacities for the next 0 to 6 months.
- Carrier management: Manage effective carrier communications. Track carrier performance and address delays or service issues.
- Collaboration: Liaise with network planner, DC and plant scheduler to manage effective operational support to planning. Work closely with warehouse teams to align shipping schedules with inventory availability. Ensure timely loading/unloading of shipments to prevent delays.
- Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Provide accurate delivery timelines to internal teams and customers. Resolve scheduling conflicts and communicate delays proactively.
- Cost & Efficiency Optimization: Identify opportunities to consolidate shipments and reduce transportation costs.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all import & export shipping documents (BOL, customs forms) are accurate and complete. Adhere to transportation regulations (DOT, OSHA, international shipping laws or regulations such as Entity List, IMDG).
- RFQ implementation: Monitor RFQ implementation and new route compliance.
- Resiliency: support Logistics Planner to drive supply chain resiliency and minimize the supply risk to business in a dynamic environment (ocean market, geographical situation, port strike).
- Digital transformation: Be the SMEs in the utilization of most effective SCM technology (e.g., TMS) to improve operational cost & service efficiency.
## Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics or engineering
- 5+ years in logistics planning or related role.
## Skills:
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Customer centric and strong communication skills
- Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software(ERP, TMS)
