The Opportunity
The HR & Accounting Clerk position supports API mission by providing essential administrative support to the Human Resources, Accounting, and Administrative Departments. This position assists with a variety of administrative, operational, and project-based tasks as assigned by the HR & Accounting Administrator to support departmental needs and workload.
What You'll Do
Accounting:
- Process cash receipts and check deposits.
- Process credit card transactions.
- Complete credit reference requests.
- Prepare and distribute monthly customer statements.
- Prepare the monthly EBiz report for the CFO.
- Process credit memos.
- Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable invoicing.
- Provide backup for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processing.
- Maintain the monthly utility usage report for EcoVadis.
- Prepare and maintain the Cost of Quality Report.
- Perform other accounting-related administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Human Resources (HR):
- Assist with recruiting and job postings.
- Schedule interviews.
- Review and verify employees’ timeclock punches in Paylocity.
- Assist with annual Open Enrollment activities.
- Assist in planning and coordinating company events.
- Serve as a member of the EEC (Employment Event Committee).
- Provide support to the Senior HR Generalist as needed.
- Perform other HR-related administrative tasks as assigned.
General Administration:
- Assist with answering phone calls as needed and serve as the secondary point of contact for phone coverage.
- Provide backup to the Administrative Assistant.
Experience & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support role.
- Knowledge of general office practices, administrative procedures, and clerical processes.
- Professional phone etiquette and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Adobe.
- Proven success in an office environment.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
