Senior Finance Data Analyst

Belgrade, Serbia - hybrid

Job Requirements:

Data analysis

Ability to interpret complex data, perform variance and trend analysis, identify root causes and present concise recommendations.

Tools and automation

Advanced Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, Python and Excel skills, with experience building reusable dashboards, reports and automated workflows.

Finance and governance

Understanding of financial reporting cycles, data quality, confidentiality, documentation and reporting controls.

Stakeholder engagement

Ability to gather requirements, manage priorities and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Extract, cleanse, transform and validate data from multiple systems to ensure accurate, consistent and decision-ready reporting.
• Analze large datasets to identify trends, exceptions, risks and opportunities, and translate findings into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, data models and DAX measures that support management reporting and finance reviews.
• Use SQL, Python, Power Query and Excel to automate recurring workflows, reconciliations and reporting processes.
• Support month-end close, forecasting, planning and other finance cycles with timely, validated data and analysis.
• Partner with finance, operations and system owners to clarify requirements, document logic and maintain transparent, repeatable reporting controls.

Experience and Personal Capabilities:

• Experience delivering data analysis, dashboards, automation and recurring reporting in a business or finance environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work accurately with complex datasets.
• Collaborative and improvement-focused mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities during time-sensitive finance cycles.

• Accurate, validated datasets, reconciliations, and reporting outputs.
• Reliable dashboards, analytical models, and automated reporting processes.
• Clear insights and recommendations that support finance and business decision-making.
