Position Summary: Responsible for providing leadership for Warehouse receiving and stock Inventory. This role provides floor supervision for the processing of receiving, cycle counts, , re-counts, researching discrepancies/variances, processing of approved junk material, relabeling, food safety, quality, efficiency, and inventory accuracy. In this role you will be responsible for meeting the daily cycle count schedule along with leading the daily receiving. Must have the ability to follow company policies, follow standard operating procedures, read labels on raw materials, finished goods, and follow safety procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with all departments daily with discrepancies/variances that impact cost and production.
- Report safety, quality and inventory discrepancies to management, perform cycle counts via cycle count worksheet provided, requests from a department and year-end inventory counts.
- Observe inventory staff and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Report operational and inventory data on specified forms.
- Provide leadership on Receiving and Inventory questions to staff.
- Transfer materials, supplies and products between work areas using equipment and sit down forklifts.
- Understand the Inventory impact and importance of food safety and its role in our products.
- Organize the Inventory area and take on any additional assigned projects from the Site Manager.
- Follow SOPs to include all the above
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or GED, documentation skills, math skills with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the production team and supporting departments (finance, QC, maintenance, planning, warehouse, purchasing and customer service)
- Must have attention to detail to plan and schedule the Inventory Department workload, monitor labor requirements needed and keep the Inventory area clean and audit ready.
- Ability to continuously lift and weigh 50lbs throughout the day.
- Must follow safety requirements and ensure the production & Inventory team follows the PPE requirements (safety shoes, safety glasses, safety gloves, face shield and respirator).
- Basis computer skills to maintain efficient operation and control of equipment or systems.
- Troubleshooting or problem-solving skills to determine causes of any inventory inaccuracies or Quality hold mixes and make recommendations to potential fixes.
Starting Salary : $24.98 - 37.48/HR
Monday - Friday 6a-2:30p
The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
