General Information:
Job title: Staff Accountant
Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexible). No weekends or holidays.
Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant position is responsible for maintaining the financial records and accounting responsibilities for MBMC system entities.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update accounting records.
- Create journal entries for applicable entities.
- Conduct month end and year end processes not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, document preparation.
- Prepare documents for audits.
- Reconcile system entity liabilities and assets accounts.
- Invoice various clients for rental space and miscellaneous services.
- Make deposits.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Two-year degree in accounting required. Four-year degree in accounting preferred.
- 1+ years of related work experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
- Knowledge of accounting information systems a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency.
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills.
