Process Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Process Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Bothell, WA office.

Your Role

• Assist process and mechanical engineers in the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial systems and equipment as it relates to power plants.
• Support the development and review of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and engineering drawings.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation to communicate project findings and recommendations.
• Participate in project planning activities, including scheduling, material tracking, and progress monitoring.

About You

• EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION:
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a mechanical or chemical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Additional Information 

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
