What You'll Do

As a Title Examiner, you will review title records, analyze chains of title, and prepare accurate title products that support the real estate closing process.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and interpreting chains of title and property records
• Examining ownership histories and identifying title issues, restrictions, liens, encumbrances, and other matters affecting title
• Verifying property, ownership, and tax information for completeness and accuracy
• Reviewing legal descriptions, maps, plats, and supporting documentation
• Preparing and issuing preliminary title reports
• Confirming appropriate title search parameters and starter bases
• Ensuring all relevant information is captured and accurately reflected in title products
• Supporting title search operations and workflow as needed
• Maintaining accuracy and production standards while meeting deadlines
• Collaborating with team members and internal stakeholders to support exceptional customer service

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of title industry experience
• Experience examining title records, ownership histories, and chains of title
• Strong understanding of title insurance practices and title examination principles
• Knowledge of legal descriptions, real property records, and real estate documentation
• Ability to analyze and interpret title information accurately and efficiently
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing preliminary title reports
• Knowledge of Florida real estate and title practices
• Experience with title plants and property information databases
• Familiarity with mapped-property searches and direct starter-based examinations
