The Position: The Shuttle Driver is primarily responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for our residents to and from designated locations on campus and around the community. A successful Shuttle Driver will provide excellent customer service to our residents and understand that this position is critical to the reputation of the property.
The Property: The Landing Fayetteville is a garden-style student housing community in Fayetteville, Arkansas, designed to serve students attending the University of Arkansas. The 270 unit, 504 bed community offers 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units with amenities that include newly renovated resort-style swimming pool and fitness center, barista bar, and much more. The Landing provides team members with opportunities to develop and grow their careers while delivering an unmatched living experience for our residents.
This is a part-time position working a rotating schedule. Employees must be able to work each schedule as outlined below twice per week, on a rotating schedule:
- Schedule A: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Lunch Break from 11:00am - 1:00pm)
- Schedule B: Thursday and Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Lunch Break from 11:00am - 1:00pm), and Saturday: 9:30pm - 2:30am
The compensation range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr. This range is determined by current market data based on the position requirements and complexities. Final offers of employment will be based on multiple factors including candidate education, skills, experience, and location.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Demonstrate excellent customer service during each encounter with residents, prospects, vendors, officials, and community members.
- Operate shuttle on the schedule route in a safe, responsible, and timely manner.
- Perform daily inspection of the shuttle to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
- Complete daily interior and exterior cleaning of the shuttle.
- Maintain all maintenance records as required.
- Provide a prompt report on all maintenance issues to the Maintenance Manager.
- Complete all accident or incident reports and submit immediately as required.
Requirements
- One or more years of professional driving experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state driving standards.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Be a self-motivated individual and excel at working in a team environment.
- Ability and willingness to follow traffic laws, regulations, and company policy.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and transportation operations is preferred.
