Lead, Shipping - 2nd Shift

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

This Lead, Shipping - 2nd Shift position is responsible for assigning duties to all replenishment, picking or packing personnel and coordinating all picking or shipping activities. Work with QC to ensure compliance with Herbalife accuracy standards.

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

• Direct all daily shipping activities including replenishment, box making, line start, picking, QC, packing, truck loading. Utilize resources in a way that maximizes both productivity and quality.
• Notify Supervisor of all issues including productivity, quality, safety systems, equipment and employee issues.
• Assist with training of any employees in the department in compliance with DC procedures.
• Maintain supplies and notify Supervisor of any supplies that need to be ordered.
• Act as back-up to the Shipping/Warehouse Supervisor during absences.
• Follow any applicable system procedures and process any applicable paperwork in compliance with DC procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring each shipping box/package is properly packed following departmental shipping standards and guidelines.  Attach appropriate paperwork on applicable packages and forward to the Manifest Station.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area keeping constant watch for any safety issues.  Notify Supervisor, Manager or Security immediately of any unsafe working conditions or practices observed in the work area and all accidents which you witness or are involved in.
• Follow and adhere to all Herbalife policies, rules and regulations.
• Ensure that employees maintain a productivity rate based on the standards established by DC management assisting where needed on the line.
• Responsible for maintaining timekeeping policy, for example: bring employee badge daily to clock in/out, notify supervisor immediately of any badge issues.

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge including knowledge in Microsoft Office.

 

Experience:

• 4 years in general warehouse environment.
• Strong customer and results orientation.
• Order picking, packing and shipping experience.
• Experience working with warehouse equipment such as scanners, carton erectors
• 1-year Customer Service experience.

 

Education:

• High school education or equivalent 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English).
• Lead Experience
• 2 years college or an associate's degree
• PTL systems a plus
• General inventory processes.
