Job Title: Technician, Maintenance – 3rd Shift
Location: Lakeland, FL
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the mechanical maintenance and reliability of process equipment systems in the plant areas on a daily basis. The operating hours are Monday to Friday, 24-5, from 10:00pm – 6:30am.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, install and troubleshoot process equipment systems comprised of pumps, agitator, heat exchangers, tanks, reactors, piping systems, valves, and other mechanical systems.
- Ensures operation of process equipment by completing preventive and predictive maintenance requirements, follows diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Monitor, repair, maintain and document all field mechanical equipment including plant safety systems and plant power systems.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
•.Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure that all equipment is safely released and all documents are in order prior to starting work.
- Ensure all work areas are clean and orderly when job is completed.
- Ensure all work orders are completed and closed out properly in the CMMS system.
- Comply with all GMA Safe and GMP requirements while completing tasks if required.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Conducts job tasks in compliance with company, state and federal safety and environmental procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

You Bring:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 10 years mechanical maintenance experience in a chemical, food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, specifically with rotating equipment.
- Experience working in a GMP environment and at heights.
- Knowledge of Word, and Excel software, and CMMS systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Ability to read and understand governmental regulations and company policy and procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Preferred experience: Reliability Maintenance Techniques, Technical/Mechanical school training.
- Preferred: Certification in one Reliability Maintenance discipline: Thermography, Oil Analysis, Vibration Analysis, Lubrication or ISA Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (CIMM).
The hourly wage provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. The hourly wage is $32.00-$34.00.
