About the role: This role will be working for our Mars Petcare segment, where we make life better for pets and their owners.
Location: Bathurst
In this hands-on role, you will drive process and product excellence for our leading pet food brands. You will be responsible for problem-solving, continuous improvement, and supporting R&D projects that deliver significant growth for our business in the ANZ market. This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure our products meet the highest standards while helping to innovate for the future.
What you’ll do:
Drive troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to resolve process issues impacting product quality, cost, and manufacturing efficiency.
Adapt and optimize process conditions to ensure all products meet strict quality, safety, and finished product specifications.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Quality teams to deploy process improvements and manage changes effectively.
Champion cost-saving initiatives by improving run rates, reducing waste, and boosting overall efficiency.
Partner with the Quality & Food Safety (Q&FS) team to investigate and resolve non-conforming products and processes.
Verify and refine process standards to guarantee consistent product quality and recommend modifications for improvement.
Develop clear process troubleshooting guides to support and empower our shift Associates.
Your unique ingredients:
2+ years in a Food Manufacturing environment working in Quality, Food Safety, Engineering, or Packaging, Process Product Development is highly preferred.
Broad working knowledge of food or petfood production processes highly regarded
Strong communication skills.
Experience in the application of scientific methodology
