Description
The Rehabilitation Services Manager manages and directs operations of the physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, and athletic training programs for inpatient, outpatient, and home health and hospice clients. The Rehabilitation Services Manager plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. The Rehabilitation Services Manager provides leadership, decision making and effective communication through participation on Barrett Hospital & HealthCare’s Department Managers team. The Rehabilitation Services Manager strives for a consistent and fair work environment for service line staff, and fosters an atmosphere of respect and accountability, integrates “Just Culture” principles into the Rehabilitation Services department and focuses on safety for patients, staff and fellow employees as well as high value services.
Requirements
Master’s or Doctorate degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited Physical Therapy program. Documentation of passing the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) and an active Montana State license in Physical Therapy from the Montana Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Incumbents will have a minimum five years of clinical experience with two to three years of previous management or supervisor experience. Ability to read, interpret, and write documents, procedures, and reports. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
