Description
Field Service Technician – Door Installation & Repair
Overview
Responsible for customer satisfaction, troubleshooting, repair, and proper installation of all door systems produced by the company.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years in construction, finish carpentry, or door installation
- Reliable attendance and flexible schedule
- Must have PPE (steel‑toe boots, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves)
- The company uses E‑Verify
Training
- Three months on‑the‑job training
Key Responsibilities
- Repair defects and report issues to management/R&D
- Perform quality control
- Train sales teams, distributors, and dealerships on installation and product knowledge
- Troubleshoot customer issues (phone + onsite)
- Travel as needed; work overtime
- Follow all safety and PPE policies
- Read blueprints
- Complete service orders and maintain clean job sites
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Build and support customer relationships
- Identify faulty vs. customer‑damaged parts
- Coordinate with distributors/dealerships on jobsite issues
- Assist production on non‑service days
- Other duties as assigned
Tools & Equipment
- Hand tools, power tools, GPS, camera

Physical Requirements
- Lift 5–40 lbs
- Climb, crawl, bend, reach, walk long distances
- Stand for extended periods
- Perform repetitive hand/wrist motions
