Material planning and logistic experience to ensure supplier planning and delivery on time. Material availability on time for production, supplier monitoring and freight cost optimization. Optimizing inventory turns and reduce freight cost as per company vision and guidelines

Job purpose

Material planning and logistic experience to ensure supplier planning and delivery on time. Material availability on time for production, supplier monitoring and freight cost optimization.  Optimizing inventory turns and reduce freight cost as per company vision and guidelines

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to improve operational efficiency, optimize costs, and ensure uninterrupted material flow.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support seamless production and business operations.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance supply chain processes to drive productivity and performance improvements.

Inventory Control

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance material availability with inventory carrying costs.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits and stock reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory trends and demand patterns to support forecasting and procurement planning.
  • Monitor and improve inventory turnover through effective inventory management practices.

Logistics & Transportation

  • Manage inbound logistics operations to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Coordinate with transporters and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize freight costs and service levels.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials and finished goods while minimizing transportation expenses.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce premium freight and improve overall logistics cost efficiency.

Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business continuity and performance improvement.
  • Track vendor performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and present regular MIS reports on supply chain, inventory, and logistics performance.
  • Analyze operational data to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery performance, inventory turnover, freight costs, and overall supply chain efficiency.

  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
