About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, the Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing strategic long-range plans to sustain and extend the Life of Mine at Greenhills Operations. The role involves executing all aspects of long-range planning including: pit, spoil and haul road design optimizations, life of mine schedules, strategic evaluations, all while considering potential impacts to sustainable development. This role also leads and supports key deliverables, including the Life of Asset, 5-year plan, budget, forecast and R&R, by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring that deadlines are met. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to make a positive impact on the business.
To be successful, we require a person who is self-motivated and enjoys working in a team environment with all levels of an organization. This person has strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and is dedicated to continuous improvement. They have proven problem solving skills and can organize competing priorities to enable effective decision making.
