A Day in the Life
The Global Supply Chain Planning organization enables integrated planning capabilities that support product availability, operational performance, and business growth across Medtronic. This team drives process standardization, planning excellence, and digital transformation initiatives that strengthen forecasting capabilities and decision-making across global markets.The Program Manager, Demand Planning Excellence & Digital Transformation, serves as a key leader within the demand planning function, partnering across Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Information Technology (IT), and Global Planning teams to advance planning processes, systems, and performance.. We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.
As the Program Manager, Demand Planning Excellence & Digital Transformation you will advance demand planning capabilities through process excellence, digital transformation, and forecasting performance improvement. This role provides business ownership for planning systems and processes, drives standardization across planning teams, and leads initiatives that improve forecast quality, planning effectiveness, and business outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of global demand planning processes, operating models, and governance frameworks.
Establish and maintain standardized planning procedures, policies, and performance metrics to support consistent execution across business units and regions.
Serve as business owner for Blue Yonder Demand Planning capabilities, defining business requirements and prioritizing system enhancements.
Partner with Information Technology (IT), Digital Technology teams, and external vendors to deliver planning system improvements, deployments, and adoption initiatives.
Drive forecast accuracy, forecast bias reduction, and planning performance improvement initiatives through data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
Lead user acceptance testing, validation activities, and change management efforts for planning process and technology initiatives.
Analyze demand signals, forecasting performance, and business trends to identify root causes, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop training materials, planning playbooks, and capability-building programs that promote adoption of standardized planning processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant supply chain program management experience, or advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant supply chain program management experience.
Experience implementing or integrating Blue Yonder demand planning solutions.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across business and functional teams.
Experience supporting demand planning, supply chain planning, forecasting, or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading large-scale process improvement, transformation, or digital planning initiatives within a matrixed organization.
Experience translating business requirements into system enhancements, configurations, or technology solutions.
Experience utilizing supply chain performance metrics, forecasting data, and operational analysis to support business decisions.
Experience developing and managing program plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communications.
Experience applying statistical forecasting methodologies, advanced analytics, or planning performance management frameworks.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
