Corporate & Finance - Infrastructure, Energy, Resources & Projects, Mid-Level to Senior Associate

Hogan Lovells seeks a mid-level to senior-level project finance associate with a minimum of four years of experience to join its dynamic and growing Infrastructure, Energy, Resources, and Projects practice in Washington, DC. This is an opportunity to take a leading role on complex, market-shaping transactions at the intersection of finance, business, and government, including matters involving the space and satellite industry, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, defense finance, renewable energy, and Latin America.

The associate will be expected to lead significant workstreams on project finance and related transactions, coordinate directly with partners and clients, and help drive execution across multidisciplinary deal teams. A core part of the role will be serving as an integrator across transactions and teams -- translating commercial, financing, regulatory, and sector-specific considerations into practical advice and helping ensure that matters are staffed, managed, and delivered efficiently.  This role is ideal for a strong project finance lawyer who is excited by responsibility, ownership, and the chance to help build a high-growth platform. The associate will supervise and mentor junior lawyers from across the firm who are interested in developing project finance experience, helping to create an additional layer of leadership and leverage for sophisticated, cross-border matters.

Candidates should have strong project finance experience and excellent drafting, transaction management, judgment, and interpersonal skills. Experience with energy and infrastructure, ECA/DFI financings, Latin America, aerospace and defense, or space and satellite-related matters is a plus. Excellent academic credentials, a commitment to client service, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-moving environment are required.

The expected base salary range for this role is $310,000 to $390,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses.  Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
