House Supervisor

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our House Supervisor, you will manage nursing services for Marian Regional Medical Center and Arroyo Grande Community Hospital after routine administrative hours.Every day of your assigned shift you will direct and supervise quality care for patients of all ages in collaboration with Nurse Managers. As the designated nurse executive delegate during nights, weekends, and off-hours under Joint Commission standards, you will provide 24/7 oversight of nursing services, staffing adequacy, and resource allocation, ensure appropriate RN supervision at all times, and evaluate staffing based on patient acuity and volume.To be successful in this role, you will bring strong nursing leadership and clinical judgment, knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards, and the confidence to make sound decisions for the whole hospital.

• Serves as nurse executive delegate to ensure compliance with Joint Commission Goal 12 requirements for continuous RN supervision.
• Monitors and documents staffing adequacy across departments; escalates to directors and CNO as needed.
• Utilizes TEAM and Lawson analytics to validate staffing levels, overtime, and acuity alignment.
• Participates in monthly PPC staffing meetings with CNA and shared governance discussions on professional practice and workforce optimization.
• Contributes to quarterly Leapfrog reporting and annual CNO Nursing Report data collection.
• Accepts responsibility for the management of Marian Regional Medical Center and Arroyo Grande Community Hospital Nursing Services after routine administration hours.

Job Requirements

Required

• Minimum of four years acute experience as a Registered nurse within the last 6 years
• Previous managerial experience or evidence of leadership ability
• Registered Nurse: CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS
