What you’ll do:

This position is for an experienced network engineer who will provide L2/L3 network support and a shift lead role to manage our internal network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Systems Engineering & Platform Ownership

• Design, build, and manage infrastructure platforms across:
  • Compute, virtualization (VMware), storage, backup
• Drive standardization and scalability of systems

2. Automation & Platform Engineering (Primary Focus)

• Develop automation using:
  • Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, APIs
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and orchestration workflows
• Reduce manual operations through automation-first approach

3. Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure

• Support hybrid platforms (on-prem + AWS/Azure)
• Enable self-service provisioning and cloud governance

4. Reliability, Performance & Observability

• Improve system reliability through:
  • Monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning
• Identify bottlenecks and implement engineering fixes (not just workaround support)

5. Incident, Problem & Change Engineering

• Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
• Shift from ticket-based handling to engineering-driven resolution
• Support change and release activities with automation

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years in IT Infrastructure / Operations / Systems Engineering
• ITIL certification preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong experience in:
  • Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), Windows Server
  • Virtualization (VMware) and infrastructure systems
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Hands-on expertise in:
  • Automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform)
  • Scripting and API integrations
  • Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with:
  • Morpheus or similar cloud/platform orchestration tools
  • Observability and monitoring tools
• Knowledge of:
  • Infrastructure security and compliance automation
