Overview
Jhpiego, an international non-profit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Communication Officer to support project communications and branding compliance, developed communication materials, and produced impactful stories, photos, and videos. Collaborated with technical teams, partners, and headquarters to showcase program achievements, strengthen staff storytelling capacity, and ensure timely dissemination of communication products for the Momentum Country and Global Leadership East Jerusalem Hospital Network (EJHN) project. This position reports to the Project Director.

Salary Range: ILS 160,031 to ILS 177,596 per annum
Actual compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and alignment with organizational compensation policies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all the project products comply with Department of State (DOS) and Jhpiego branding and marking policy, review, edits and finalizing them.
- Coordination with procurement and technical team to manage the development of printing material and the technical specifications for printing companies.
- Coordinate with project technical team to review the photos, success stories, videos and products aimed at promoting and showcasing events, achievements and expertise.
- Work closely with project implementing partners to define and implement communication priorities and activities.
- Ensure the Jhpiego - GECO communications standards, policies and processes are carried out and the relevant communication products are shared with Jhpiego headquarter office.
- Strengthening the capacity of project staff in collecting compelling, impact-driven stories and photos that amplify the DoS and Jhpiego brand.
- Working with Headquarter and MENA and Asia regional communication teams to make sure the program work is appropriately reflected through project photos and stories.
- Produce high quality photos that showcase the program impact and They should include captions for publication in social media (Twitter, other) on weekly basis.
- Formatting the project reports that comply with DOS and Jhpiego branding and marking policies.
- Developing the project communication products such as banners, presentations, training manuals, posters and etc.
- Translate project materials (Guidelines, forms, flip charts, presentations and etc) from English into local languages and vice versa.
- Proofread, edit and layout all translated documents to ensure they accurately reflect the original documents.
- Identifies beneficiary-oriented stories in the field for video interview and producing short video clips, drafts video scripts, shoots and edits videos, shoots in-house/outdoor video including interviews and/or other types of video
- Collects potential success stories from target hospitals and work closely with the project’s staff for developing the stories that showcase program impact.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, digital marketing or relevant field is required
- Five (5) years progressively relevant experience in the development sector preferably working on US government funded projects
- Proficient technical skills in using different types of digital cameras, camcorders and DSLRs
- Proficient knowledge of sound recording techniques and studio lighting – recording
- High knowledge of Adobe creative suite software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Audition
- Ability to produce AI short reels, videos and animated clips using CapCut, tiktok studio
- High proficiency skills in English, verbally and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient skills in using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of DOS branding and Marking Guidelines
