Application Support Analyst Intern

Job description

As an Application Support Analyst Intern at Thomson Reuters U.S. Inc., you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our critical applications. You will work closely with experienced analysts, gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting, incident resolution, and supporting our internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues reported by users, escalating complex problems to senior team members.
• Monitor application performance and identify potential issues proactively.
• Document support procedures, solutions, and frequently asked questions for knowledge base improvement.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionalities and upcoming changes.
• Participate in testing new application features and updates.
• Provide timely and effective communication to users regarding issue status and resolution.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and tools.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software applications and operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with SQL or other database query languages is beneficial but not required.
