Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.

To be successful as a Application Support Analyst you should have experience with:

• L2/L3 Application Support Experience is Must
• Evidence of strong experience of IT software support/ development
• Experience in writing queries in SQL language (for running on Oracle, MS SQL)
• Basic knowledge in Unix/Linux Shell scripting
• Must be a team Player, confident and pro-active.
• Ability to work at pace, under pressure while maintaining the quality.
• Good understanding of business and operational processes, Capable of Problem / issue resolution, capable of thinking out of the box.

Some other highly valued skills include:

• Evidence of strong experience working within an ITIL Environment
• Experience in WEB technologies, Support for multi-tier applications, MVC architecture, Web Services
• Large-scale blue-chip organisations such as Barclays or Broad knowledge of Barclays Group
• Banking Domain Experience will be Preferred
• Experience in Monitoring Tools like ITRS, AppDynamics
• Should have the Flexibility to react effectively to changing priorities and willingness to step outside of role boundaries to achieve results

This role is based out of Pune.
