 Feldmeier Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Director of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) & IT for an on-site role at our Syracuse, New York location. This leadership position will support and strengthen the technology, ERP, and business systems that keep our stainless-steel equipment manufacturing operations running efficiently. 

The ideal candidate will take ownership of ERP and business systems, with strong technical experience, and will partner closely with leadership across operations, finance, supply chain, engineering, and production to improve processes, reporting, workflows, and data accuracy.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Own Feldmeier Equipment’s ERP and business systems strategy, roadmap, support priorities, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert and primary liaison for Epicor ERP across Feldmeier’s Syracuse operations
• Evaluate and implement ERP enhancements, integrations, reports, dashboards, and system customizations that support manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, finance, and operational decision-making
• Lead ERP upgrades, testing, documentation, training, and data-quality initiatives to ensure consistent system use and reliable information across departments
• Oversee day-to-day IT infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, hardware/software support, vendor relationships, and technology planning for the Syracuse facility, and manage 2 employees in the IT department
• Partner with department leaders to identify process improvements, reduce manual work, improve reporting, and support efficient manufacturing operations through technology

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
• 8+ years of progressive IT, ERP, or business-systems leadership experience
• Strong technical experience with ERP, including configuration, administration, reporting, troubleshooting, and support of manufacturing workflows preferred
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations
• Ability to understand production, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, engineering, and financial workflows and translate business needs into practical technology solutions
• Experience working with ERP vendors and third-party consultants

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours per day
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and maneuvering up to 20 pounds
• Ability to handle stress and varying workload
