Contract Manager Senior

Job Description:

Manages the negotiation, execution, and maintenance of SelectHealth vendor contracts. Works with all levels of staff and management to administer the contract review process to ensure proper review, documentation, and signature. Manages centralized contract filing/maintenance and storage.

Essential Functions

• Oversees the contract approval process, including coordination with the Legal Department.  Assists management and other internal stakeholders in the development and amendment of standardized contracts.  Understands and implements the legal standards expected in SelectHealth contracts. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates non-standard contracts.
• Assures compliance with government contracting standards for delegated functions for Medicare, Medicaid, and FEHB programs.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA standards required in SelectHealth vendor contracts.
• Provides training in the creation, development, negotiation, approval, execution, and maintenance of contracts and standards to SelectHealth caregivers.
• Coordinates contracting efforts with other Intermountain entities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, from an accredited institution which will be verified, in an applicable major.
• Five years of experience working with and analyzing contracts to gain a broad understanding of standard contract language.
• Intermediate experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs.
• Excellent writing, editing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
• Legal or paralegal experience.
• Seven year’s experience in working with and analyzing contracts
• Experience in contract management for an insurer, health care provider, pharmacy benefit manager, or pharmaceutical company.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Management experience.​

Physical Requirements

• Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
• Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
• Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$44.99 - $69.44
