Private Duty Caregiver Needed

Amaray Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable Caregiver to join our team. In this role, you will provide physical care and emotional support to clients who are unable to fully care for themselves due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate treats clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect, and remains empathetic at all times.

Schedule

Candidates must be available for morning and evening shifts, any day of the week (including weekends). Flexibility to work varying shifts based on client needs is required.

Key Responsibilities

Home Assistance

• Provide light housekeeping and run errands

• Drive clients to and from appointments and other errands as needed

• Assist with medication reminders

• Prepare meals and purchase food/groceries

• Provide personal care assistance with general living needs, which may include toileting, bathing, feeding, and grooming

Companionship

• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation

• Engage, encourage, and support clients' emotional well-being

• Assist with daily activities to promote independence and quality of life

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation — must be comfortable and willing to drive clients as part of daily duties

• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification

• High school diploma preferred

• Must pass a criminal background check

• TB Test/PPD within the past year, or chest X-ray within the past 5 years

• Physical stamina to transfer, reposition, and lift clients using a Hoyer Lift

• Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

• Experience using a manual Hoyer Lift, motorized wheelchair, and other adaptive equipment is a plus

• Must be available for morning and evening shifts, any day of the week
