Job Description:
- Designing, developing and improving mechanical & electrical systems, fixtures, jigs, tooling, machines and manufacturing aids required for electrolyzer production.
- Preparing, reviewing and maintaining 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, layouts, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Coordinating mechanical engineering activities related to development, procurement, installation, commissioning, calibration and validation of equipment, tools, fixtures and utilities.
- Selecting suitable materials, tools, fasteners, bought-out items and manufacturing methods based on process requirements, quality standards, safety and cost effectiveness.
- Identifying and implementing innovative mechanical, tooling and process improvement solutions to improve productivity, ergonomics, quality and reliability.
- Supporting design reviews, FMEA, risk assessment, machine safety reviews and manufacturability reviews for new equipment, tooling and process changes.
- Monitoring equipment performance, mechanical systems, utilities and tooling condition to improve uptime, repeatability and efficiency of production.
- Experience in reading and interpreting complex mechanical, fabrication, machining, pneumatic, hydraulic, utility and technical drawings.
- Support operational improvement and cost reduction activities by providing technical expertise in mechanical design, process capability, manufacturing methods and maintenance practices.
- Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to production, quality and maintenance teams to resolve technical problems, equipment breakdowns, tooling issues and drive process improvement.
- Identifying areas of improvement in production lines, fixtures, tools, equipment and finished products, making recommendations and implementing approved improvements.
- Experience in ISO 9001:2015 audits, documentation control and compliance with applicable plant safety and quality requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering - Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Electrical / Manufacturing Engineering or other related engineering field.
- Operating knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and engineering drawing standards. Knowledge of GD&T, fabrication, machining, welding and assembly processes is preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience with strong mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance, tooling or industrial project background.
- Knowledge of mechanical & electrical design principles, machine elements, pneumatics, hydraulics, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with fixtures, jigs, tooling, SPMs, conveyors, lifting devices, utilities, plant layout and equipment installation / commissioning.
- Knowledge/understanding of machine safety systems, ergonomics, risk assessment, EHS requirements, and applicable standards.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems, root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement projects.
- Working knowledge of ERP, BOM management, purchase requisitions, spare parts planning, and engineering change management.

• Responsible for mechanical design, development, installation, commissioning and continual improvement of manufacturing equipment, fixtures, tooling and production systems at the factory.• Deriving specifications for new and upgraded mechanical systems including co-ordination with suppliers, supply chain, process engineering, production, quality, maintenance and other cross functional teams.
